POKEMON FANFICTION: With Love and Alola! (Part 2)
The full moon shone in the star flecked sky over Iki Town where Tara faced quite a dilemma. Three potential partners stood before her as she knelt down.
She had to pick one.
"Only when you both have chosen each other can you truly call each other partners," added Hala.
Tara was motionless. "What if none of them like me? What if none of them want to be my friend?" She thought to herself. Her anxiety had overcome her.
Everyone was waiting silently for her choice.
Litten stared at Tara with some curiosity. It suddenly dashed up to her and jumped on her lap.
"Mrr!" Litten cried gleefully. The tiny Pokémon began to purr.
Fighting back tears of from the anxiety, Tara gently lifted the Litten and held it up above her. Silhouetted by the moon, Litten grinned; showing his sharp white teeth. Tara beamed.
"Mrawr!" Litten cried happily.
It sniffed Tara curiously.
"Ho! So little Litten has seemed to have chosen you, Tara!" said Hala, walking up with a smile on his face along with Kukui and Tif
The lifeless land. One-shot prequel 1-I’m sorry,- Codey had to interrupt, -I think I have an incoming call.
She stepped backwards while pulling her phone out of her left pocket. Checking the screen caused her heart to flutter in her chest for a tiny moment. It was a video call from Dulse.
-I… really need to answer this right now, I… I’m sorry.
-Who is that, dear?
She ran her finger across the glass to accept the call. The screen became black, then Dulse appeared. The azure fabric of the camping tent Codey had seen in the Mele Mele meadow three days before surrounded him and plenty of sunlight filtered through, turning the environment bright turquoise.
-Codey, pardon for bothering, but I think we have a problem.
-I… uh,- she stuttered, -What… What kinda problem?
He seemed exhausted, with livid eyebags that made his ice blue irises look almost white. His wavy purple hair was loose and messy, and it framed his head like the fluffy mane of a young lion – gleaming teal
The lifeless land. Part 3Dulse kept staring at her for a while, then gave a tiny bewildered smile and gently shook his head.
-Why is that, all of a sudden?
They stood opposite to each other, very close. Codey’s eyes lingered on his silver-white irises, rimmed in pale blue, with violet pupils instead of black. More tears gushed down her cheeks, yet she felt a rushing burst of eagerness at her own audacity and steadily returned his albinotic gaze with unflinching determination.
-Don’t you have your Pokémon with you?
-Yes, I do. Please answer my question though.
-It’s just… I can’t think of any better way to say thanks.
-I seem to recall your giving up on the island challenge, four years ago…
-I dropped it halfway, yes.
-Didn’t you fully quit Pokémon training back then?
-You know the whole story already: becoming a full-time Pokémon trainer was never my dream, I was merely coaxed into trying because that’s what Alolan teenagers do. I was seventeen whe
The lifeless land. Part 2Codey assumed the journey was over when the soft light from the Megalopolis began to outline what seemed to be an endless, far-off, shiny horizon of steel – a wall, perhaps, uncoiling before them in the middle of the desert and flawlessly perpendicular to the highway. As the travelers kept going, many warning signs started to appear on both sides of the road, all facing the same way. Soon, they became countless.
Such a view didn’t help with Codey’s nervous state of mind. She attempted to seek relief through unimportant details that distracted her – a fortunate technique she knew she could rely upon.
-You don’t have enough colors to differentiate warning signs from regular road signs, do you? They all look the same. They don’t stand out at all! We usually paint them yellow on Earth. Do you remember, Dulse? You and your partner called that a light pink.
-You described Pikachu as pink, too, and Zossie couldn’t stop getting overexcited every
Chapter 7=The Rise of Team Legend=
Upon their return to the Ringtown Ranger Station, Spenser had Jackie reported directly to the infirmary. While insisted on being perfectly fine, the senior Ranger gave him another chewing out. He may have been of help this time but he'd failed to fully assess the situation and wound up getting hurt. Calling it reckless, Jackie was left with a slightly bruised pride and a rather bitter after taste. Sighing, he reached for his jacket and pulled it on over his black and white under shirt. Getting to his feet, the blonde rubbed his neck slowly from the front all the way to the back. He could still feel the ghostly hands presence, it was rather unnerving but there was nothing he could do about it now. What bothered him the most where those two people, the man and woman. The woman was especially scary, had her partner not cut in at that very moment well emerald gaze wafting towards the window, Jackie wore a look of wariness. On their way back to the station Jac
Chapter 2= The Storm =
As the school went black, a rush of panic seemed to wash over the students in the common room. Zekke, being the only one with a flashlight, seemed unbothered by the darkness and was busy looking at his shoes. Jackie also appeared unfazed by the power outage; of course, his concern was more focused on what had caused it. The storm outside was a contributing factor, but there was something strange about it.
Judy made her way over to the two boys, a worried look on her face. She moved over and stood beside Jackie and grabbed his arm.
"What are we going to do Jackie?" she asked nervously, "Normally the back up generator would come on if there ever was a black out."
Being new to the school, it was only natural that the blond boy wasn't familiar with the various protocols. On top of that, this seemed like a matter that the teachers would be able to handle, the most he could do now would be to try and reassure both Judy and the rest of his class. Taking the girl's hand, he smile
Chapter 3= The Promise =
The morning came and the storm had subsided, lying in the medical office, Jackie stared up at the white ceiling with a look of deep concentration. Both of his arms were resting on top of the blanket, one was wrapped in a splint and clean white bandages. The little adventure he and his new friends had the other night had resulted in a fractured arm, though thankfully it wasn't as serious as it could have been. However, what was really on the boy's mind was who that strange man was and what on earth he was doing in the school basement. From what he could recall, it seemed as though he was carrying something, but what?
Heaving a heavy sigh, Jackie shifted and carefully pushed himself up into a sitting position. It was just then when the door burst open and Judy came running in, Zekke wasn't far behind though he didn't seem nearly as insistent and was also accompanied by Mr. Gulle.
"Oh my gosh Jackie! I'm so sorry!" Judy was the first to say anything, "Does it hurt?"
Chapter 4= The Trial of Courage=
A few days had passed since the storm and the three friends promise at the Pledge Stone. It was their day off and at that very moment Jackie was busy reading over some notes he had taken in class the day before. Judy was entertaining herself by catching up on gossip with her friends, and Zekke was sitting at the same table as Jackie; however, he seemed to be just staring off into space. This wasn't really that uncommon a sight so nobody really questioned it. Jackie's gaze had migrated upwards and cast waywardly towards the dark haired boy. Even though they were friends, in a manner of speaking, he still found it rather odd and unnerving that he had not once heard the other speak. Of course, it wasn't usually very hard to understand him, his actions were simple and easy to read either way. He slowly blinked as he returned his attention to his notes. The blonde had been reading up on the history of the Ranger Union as well as the various Ranger stations placed in
